Gosh It's Been a While!

I guess with summer being full of the Food Network cooking shows, reading & just being plain old lazy I failed to blog a bit! Now with school back in session, I've been busy with all those cute 6th graders. I can't believe that Emily is a freshman in college and Cameron is in 9th grade! Life just keeps cruising by. Joey will be home in 3 1/2 months! It'll be good to all be together again!

Joey asking for a Million Baptisms!

Joey & Papai Noel

Merry Christmas from the Pitts!

Yes, it's really odd, but several years ago Joey hid a fork on our Christmas tree as a decoration. So in memory of his oddness, we all added a fork to the tree this year (of course it made eating Christmas ham with a spoon difficult, but it was worth it)!

Joey & Elder Anderson in front of the Sao Paulo Temple.
Don't they look so happy?

Joey's new companion & friends they feed outside

Joey has a new companion, Elder Anderson. We are sure where he's from (some details slip by), but he is brand new to Brazil and very excited. They are working very hard and are happy.
They also feed these fellows sprinkles outside on the front porch at night. Then they stomp as many as they can. He naively thinks they stay outside - yeah right!

Wishing you all a very abundant and peaceful Thanksgiving!

News from Brazil

We love Mondays because we get to hear from our awesome son, Joey, in Brazil. In Joey's letter today he shared the following:

"Well I´m glad that everything went well for everyone this week. All I have to say is that I was eating my liver all Tuesday and couldn´t sleep at all that night, but luckily everything worked out in the end. I really felt out of it, almost to the point of crazy, not knowing what was going on every minute with the election. I also really wanted to just rub it in all of the crazy "Anything other than white Republican, is of the devil" people in Utah when Obama won. Good times. He has dramastically changed the way the world looks at the US. He has given everybody alot of hope and confidence in our country, it helps that the President can actually talk for a change. Speaking of which, how´s your calendar doing Mom?
Things are going really well down here. Elder Wall is trunky beyond all reason, but I can´t really blame him now, it is his last week and all. Anderson is doing really well, we are just a bit concerned because the alcohol stench hasn´t left yet but he says its been a week since he´s had a drink. Apparently when you´ve been drinking for the past 20 years it takes awhile for it all to leave your system. We will go and see if he is doing better tonight, if everything goes right his baptism will be this Saturday morning. We are teaching a family of six!"

Thanks everyone for your love and support for Joey.

Fall Events for Cam and Em

Cameron had a great year playing both defensive and offensive line. His team went to the play offs with a 6-3 record. He loves football and really was the "Pittbull" of the team.

Emily was the star of Les Miserables. She was the bombastic, dastardly, Madame Thenardier and stole not only the silverware, but the show.

Emily and Cameron lovin' each other.

Moab

John & I went to Moab for the Chamber of Commerce retreat. It was so beautiful, but of course the mountain goat I married insisted on climbing to the precipice for a better view. We had a great time & hope our kids will want to join us next time.
